We used smart dimmer modules behind the existing switch plates, so every wall switch still works exactly as before for anyone who does not want to use an app. Under-cabinet lighting was added in the kitchen on its own circuit.
Scenes cover cooking, dining and evening, each reachable by voice or a single tap. Everything is reversible at the end of the tenancy, which was part of the brief from the start.
