A five-bedroom villa with nine different apps controlling nine different things, none of which talked to each other. The brief was simply: make it one app.
Lighting, air conditioning, motorised curtains, multi-room audio and the main gate now run from a single interface, with voice control through the family’s existing smart speakers. We built the scenes around how the house is actually used — a Leaving scene that shuts down every circuit and arms the cameras, a Morning scene that lifts the bedroom curtains and starts the coffee machine, and schedules that run whether anyone remembers them or not.
We spent the final afternoon teaching the whole family, including the children, rather than handing over a manual.
